| | New TMS @ the gym. Lacy showed me these machines that stretch your back and legs... and lets just say its changed my life!!! :) :) :) |
| | Walked on a incline yesterday. My knees are sore. half hour elliptical, half hour arch machine and half hour TM.
|
| | Put 2 hours at the gym doing a variation of weights, cardio and machines. old school Kira style. I wanted to run, but my knee has been bothering me. So ill wait a couple days. |
| | 10 miles on the TM at a 8:41 pace |
| | Ran 6.5 miles on TM. walked .5 elliptical 25 min |
| | Today was a AWESOME work out. 8 miles at 8:41 pace. 10 minutes elliptical 36 minutes arc trainer. Got some really good stretching in, and did some really good arm weights. I felt the burn after.
My legs aren't sore... and I got a good combination of everything :) Perfect recipe for a Saturday!
|
| | Sits ups. Weights. Hour and a half elliptical. |
| | Stretches. Foam roller. (it did wonders!) Ran 7.0 miles on the TM. 30 minutes elliptical. Weights. Sauna. Good workout! :) | |
| | 8.2 total miles. 7.5 miles actually running. 20 minutes elliptical. 30 minutes arc machine. No weights :( I had to get home! My mommy slept over and our breakfast was waiting! |
| | weights. Sit ups. 30 minutes elliptical 3.5 miles on the TM 30 minutes arc machine.
|
| | Elliptical for hour and a half. Weights. I have felt sore, but I did some stretches and that helped. I'm crossing my fingers I can run tomorrow but I'm not counting my eggs before they hatch. I am probably getting new shoes this weekend :D |
| | My mileage this week sucks. :( but what can you do when you got sore knees? Oh... thats right!!! Get new shoes!!!! Hopefully doing that today. Overall still a good work out. Lots of weights. 1 hour elliptical. 3.5 miles on the TM. 28 minutes arc trainer and tanned to a crisp. ;) Happy Saturday yall! | |
| | Weights. 6 minute warm up on the elliptical. One hour running. 24 minutes walking. My shoes DO help :) but something is still up. I still feel sore.. and something feels off... I am thankful for my shoes because it REALLY made it more apparent to me when I was running. One leg feels longer then the other... and my back feels off. Gah! When will this be over? I guess its a process... and I should just count my blessings! Made appointment with my chiropractor to see what he says. Hes a really honest guy. He doesn't try to convince I "need" to come in. Or sell me products. I think he should be able to help.. and if not.. he should be able to give me a good referral | |
| |
:(:(:( Went to the Chiropractor yesterday. It's my SI joint. He rolled my back, did some electric therapy and adjusted it. He told me I should take it light before I start to run again. I go next week to get adjusted again. I am very disheartened, but I know Ill be fine.
Weights. 30 minutes elliptical. 1 hour arc machine.
| |
| | Lots of weights. I've put more on.. which means I'm getting stronger :D I love new challenges. Well work out challenges. I like to push new limits. I'm not saying I'm that great or anything... but its personal progress for *ME*. Elliptical for 2 hours.. on level 12. I went in the wet sauna after and stretched, and then I thought the hot tub might help with my back ... so I turned the jets on and let them massage the sore areas... and I feel better. I am going to do that next week too!
Lets hope this recovery is a fast one! |
| |
Haven't had time to update the blog. Lots of changing and things going on in my life
Weights. Hour and a half Elliptical
|
| | Weights, Hour and a half elliptical |
| | Weights.
One hour Arc Trainer. One hour Elliptical. Stretches. Sauna. Hot tub. Think my SI joint is recovering.
| |
| | weights. hour and a half elliptical. I was going to try and run today but the TMS were taken per haps tomorrow. |
| |
Weights. Elliptical for about a hour. 37 minutes on the TM. Ran 31 minutes at a 8:49 pace. Didn't have any pain DURING the run. 5 minute cool down. Stretched. Felt a little soreness in my lower back AFTER... so I foam rolled it. The soreness isn't too painful... but its sore nonetheless
|
| | Weights. 2 hours of cardio. Wet sauna. Hot tub. I love Saturday work outs.
|
| | Weights. Ouchie! 30 minutes elliptical. 45 minutes on the TM. 15 minutes walking . My back felt okay! Yay! |

| |

| | Weights, 4.5 miles on the TM (I think it was a little more then that, but I got busy chatting and didn't really make the mental note to remember) Elliptical for a hour. Sauna. |
| | Weights. 6.0 on the TM. 15 minutes elliptical. 35 minutes arc trainer. 17 minutes cool down walk. Sauna. |
| | Stayed at little America Hotel. 1.64 miles on the TM. 30 minutes on the elliptical. 3 miles (15 minutes) on the bike. Weights. Swimming! |
| | Weights. 3.4 miles on the TM. The last mile I got down to 8:19 pace! Thats slow for most of my friends, but fast for me! I talked to one of my friend today and she mentioned having at least one slow day to run. I think thats a good idea especially for the condition my back is in(recently injured... still recovering), I just get scared that I'm going to loose my stamina (not that I have much now)if I don't constantly run at the same speed.
Maybe if I do a slower run, I can run for longer! I think Ill give it a whirl tomorrow.
35 minutes elliptical. 25 minutes arc trainer. Stretches.
|
| | Weights. 30 minutes Elliptical. 6.5 miles running on the TM! Yay for a long...well longer run! My favorite mileage is 7.0 miles(not to short, or to long)... so hopefully I can do this more often.
| |
| | Weights. 7.30 miles on the TM. 50 ish minutes on the arc machines |
| | Weights. 6.40 miles on the TM. 30 minutes arc machine. |
| | Weights. Elliptical. Took half of a caffeine chew. 4.09 miles on the TM .. I did a little bit of speed work(well speed work FOR ME.. probably slow for anyone else) and dug deep and after I got a runners high! This was just what I needed. A little pick me up! I wanna do that again! | |
| | Weights. 7.5 miles on the TM. 50 minutes arc machine |
| | Weights. 4.30 miles on TM. 50 minutes elliptical. Stretches. |
| |
Ran on the TM for 3.0 miles... Then did 45 minutes of SPIN!!! So FUN! and then ran another 2.0 (wasn't planning on running again, but then I thought what the heck? I feel good why not?) I gave in and had a cherry coke zero and it TASTED so good.
|
| | Ran 10.3 miles on the TM! So proud of myself! I just woke and said... I think Ill run 10 miles today... I wasn't really sure if I could do it or not yet... but I was going to give it shot. Luckily I had half a caffeine chew and friends to keep me motivated. I even got some SPEED in... at one time I got down to about 8:05 minute pace and held it for a few minutes. Which is progress for me! This made me feel confident. Did some serious stretches. Weights, and then elliptical for 19 minutes I don't know why exactly maybe just to cool down ... Probably just because I had the time! No work today!!!
BOO SNOW go away! | |
| | 4.23 miles on the TM. A few minute cool down walk Today was supposed to be speed work, but there are two TMS that I run on... One is black and one is grey... The black one is more bouncy... and there weren't any open... So I did run faster but not as fast as I would hope for and not as long. 30 minutes Elliptical. 38 minutes Arc machine. Left 10 minutes early and no weights. I needed to tan and then get my arse ready to go! Mom's Birthday Party is today!! She is 50 years old and is PROUD... Way to be Ma! |
| | Now that I am all settled into my new place. I have a new motto. "new house... new habits!" So I hope I can do a repeat of last week, and hit more mileage and the gym more frequently. I'm doing what I did a few months ago, and typing this out for those of you (if any) that do read this... It will keep me accountable! Going the rest of the week! See you tomorrow, and for the rest of the week! *crosses fingers* | |
| | Weights. 8 ish miles on the TM. I lost track of time. First 3 miles was at 8:34 pace... Then I started gabbing and slowed down a little. 10 minute cool down elliptical. Stretches. | |
| | 3.17 miles on the TM. Spin. 2.0 miles after. 8:34 pace | |
| | Weights. 8.5 miles on the TM. Stretches. Happy Friday! |
| | Weights. Arc Machine for almost a hour. 4.87 miles on the TM. Very slow recovery shake out run. |
| | 23 minutes elliptical. 7.47 miles on the TM. The first 3 or so miles were hard. I did a speed work out. I got down to 7:30 minute mile pace. The remaining was just a normal run.
Signed up for Hobbler Half. July 7th!
|
| | Weights. 4.08 miles on the TM. I had a little scare after the speed work on Wednesday. Didn't want to push it. Elliptical for 55 minutes. |
| |
Weights. 7.35 miles on the TM. arc machine 20 minutes. Happy Birthday James!!
| |
| | Weights. 5.88 miles on the TM. 30 minutes arc machine. Stretches. Funny story, I posted on FB about how po dunk Spanish Fork is especially the gym and the tanning salon, and today they got new machines.. and by new I mean actually new! Not the hand me downs we generally get. They are okay... not sure how I feel about them yet. |
| | Weights. 6.0 miles on the TM in 55 minutes. .50 cool down walk. 40 minute elliptical. 18 minutes arc machine. Lots and lots of stretching. Now house work. I count that as a work out too! Feeling overwhelmed. Anyone wanna come help ? ;) | |
| | 3.0 miles at the track. Less then 30 minutes, but I am a LOOOT slower outside... Time to start running more outdoors so I can get stronger, faster, and all around better runner! |
| | Weights. 4.50 miles on the TM. 834 minute pace. 5 min cool down 22 mins elliptical. 23 arc machine. |
| |
Weights. I came late so I had to hurry. Ran 6.34 the first 3.4 miles I ran at a 8:34 pace which makes me proud because the new treadmills seem to be faster and more accurate then the old ones. If I could just keep running that pace the whole time. Baby steps I suppose :) Happy Friday. Seeing the Avengers tonight! Thor.. *Drool*
|
| | No weights. I was over it. I stayed up late last night watching the avengers. I just wanted to put in my time and get out and go back to bed! 8.10 miles on the TM. A little more then half of that was at the pace I like to run at 8:34. Soon I should be able to keep that pace all through out my run soon.. Though I do need to go outside more and work on that as well. 40 minutes arc machine. |
| | Weights. 7.08 Miles on the TM. 27 minutes elliptical. Stretches. | |
| | Weights. 7.0 miles on the TM. 30 minutes elliptical |
| | Weights. 3.4 miles on the TM. Ran to the river trail and back to a church where we were parked. Average pace was between 8:15 and 8:35 the whole time!!! Sooooo impressed with myself because that was the first long run i'd done outside, AND to run that fast. :) Thanks Jessica for running with me and for giving me the self esteem boost I really needed!! Hobbler half, here I come!! Huzzah! | |
| | Weights. 7.0 miles on the TM. 25 minutes arc machine. Stretches. |
| | No weights. Gym opened late. 8 miles on the TM. Slow miles. 5 minutes walking. 10 minutes arc machine.
James is running a 5 K tomorrow. :) Go James!!! Happy Friday!
| |
| | 7.62 miles out on the river trail with friends :) 8:30 minute pace. 45 minutes elliptical. Not gonna lie.. I feel pretty exhausted right now... but I know with each passing week it will get easier and easier and I had a lot of FUN! :D James and Emily did around 28 minutes for their 5 K. James said he slowed down the last .50 because he thought they had another 2 miles to go. Otherwise he would have booked it. Not bad for not training and just waking up one day and deciding he was gonna do it. Emily's husband was 21 something. (Who is a soccer excellent soccer player)Proud of my whole family for running! Congrats guys! and thank you to all my lovely friends who ran with me this morning :) | |
| | Four miles on the river trail with Julie. We ran on the cement and I think that aggravated my foot a little bit. Ill be sure to run on the pavement next time. | |
| | Weights. 7.5 miles on the TM. Felt good. Ran pretty fast. 20 minutes elliptical. |
| | Weights. 9.75 on the TM. I should have just went that last little bit to make it 10 but oh well. Happy Friday | |
| | Weights. Laughs, 3.20 miles on the TM super easy slow miles. Elliptical hell |
| | Ran from my house up to the gym, crossed over to the road heading to fresh market, down canyon road, past main street light, over my friend Lacy's house and back to mine. This was kind of a hard run. I didn't realize there was a incline clear up until canyon road. It was windy and cold. I'm sure I was going slow as Ill get out. Kinda getting nervous for hobbler half. I think I need to find someone to help pace me. hmmmmmmm btw... the mileage is just a guesstimate. I may go back with my car, I may not have the time though. My brother is in ICU and plan to go visit him. | |
| | Weights. 8.4 miles on the TM. 10 minutes arc machine | |
| |
Ran from the gym to the river trail back to the gym with Rachelle and Merri. Good times! Thanks ladies! Drove to my house. Parked and did a guestimate mile loop around the high school back to my house. I only did this because I'm sure Ill devour waaaay to many cupcakes. So any extra will be for the poudage Ill put on. ;) jk! 8:30-8:45 minute pace average I think? Happy Birthday to me! 24 years old! Time flies! Feels like just yesterday I was in HS. Going to City creek mall, Snow white and the huntsman movie, and Red Iguana for dinner. YUM!
Oh ps. KC gets out of the hospital today. What better gift could I get? Hell go back for surgery later, but I'm glad he's doing better!!!!
| | Ran with Jessica and Jason on the river trail! Thanks guys for running with me! you are SO fun to run with! 25 minutes elliptical. no weights. Muh bad! "My hearts beating faster, I know what I'm after". Lyrics to a song that I'm addicted to recently. Thank goodness for good friends and music to get me through hard work outs. | |
| | Weights. 5.64 miles on the TM. My 5 K distance was in 25:25 which was pretty good for me, and I bet if I really wanted I could shave off a minute or more. Since wasn't even that hard. I didn't really feel like running much after. It could have been I used my energy right at the start. *shrug* One month exactly until my race!! | |
| | Weights. 5.0 miles on the tm. Easy running/ slow miles. Julie asked if I wanted to run uv half for her. I'm debating it! | |
| |
I opted out on the UV half and while it would have been good training run.. Im glad I was able to spend time with my husband last night and stay up a little later, and get the extra sleep. I will say this though. I was determined to run by myself for a little longer run since I haven't done much of that so I woke up at 5:30 this morning. I got dressed and out the door at 5:45 because I'm slow in the morning. Even though I'm a early bird, it still takes me a while to process and put my thoughts into action. lol anyways moving back on topic. I ran from my house to the church that Jason and Jessica like to start from (by the barbie homes) down to river trail, back onto the main street, ran up the canyon road-which might I add was a beyatch. Crossed over to the light house, and then down a nice gradual hill to the gym. It was a pretty nice solo run. I don't know how fast I was going, but it didn't feel slow like sometimes I feel like. Then 40 minutes elliptical. The gym was miserable and hot. Lily and I decided we were over it, so we asked Julie to join us, ran from the gym back up to the light house, this time flying down canyon road. This was much easier going down then coming up! Lily ditched us during that part and it looked like she was going as fast as the cars driving by. We ran across main street up to carls jr back up to the gym. It was a pretty hard run. Especially those last 3 miles. But I didn't really take any gels/caffiene/gus-Nothin! and I did go up three hills, one of which was huuge. So I'll give myself credit for that. My mileage is just a guesstimate again, but I've ran enough times with everyone, that I think I'm pretty close.. In other news.. My aunt Marci ran UV half and came in at 1:37!! Yaaay. Congrats for all those who ran it. Sorry for the long wordy post. |
| | Julies house down to the river trail and back 4.11 miles at 8:40 average pace. This course seems so much easier. I think it its because its so beautiful, very little hills and short. I understand why SO many runners come there to run and train. This run felt so much easier then yesterdays. It must have been the hills yesterday. I hate hills gosh dang it! Buuuuut, they are good for me and help with speed.. So Ill throw some in every week. It was fun to talk to Julie. She is a good friend. <3 | |
| |
Weights. 8.0 miles total 3.50 were outside.Lily is right sprinklers everywhere! Stepped into a puddle. Woops! I just ran the loop that I ran last Saturday around the gym. This time the opposite way. I went up Canyon Road vs going down. 15 mins arc machine. Taking a half day and going swimming with my hubby today. Tomorrow is Lacys Birthday! Good times. Good times.
|
| | Weights, 5.21 running. and .30 walking. 39 minutes arc machine. So yesterday I went tanning right? Well we go to the pool and I'm like "Yay! I can lay out and get a nice tan!" ....well I got a little burned. I'm not worried. It will tan nicely. However, can you imagine if I burned what my husband looks like? Poor guy! haha anyways... Happy Friday! |
| | Guestimate mileage 10-12 miles. I really think it's 12..but maybe it just feels that long because I was running solo. From my house, to the river trail, up canyon road down to the gym. 20 minutes arch machine (This was dumb. I should have conserved my energy for the next 5-6 miles Doh!) Then ran from the gym up to the canyon road, down to the river trail, and back to my house. The last mile was killer. Bah. The good news is I don't have a garmin but this time I got smart and used my stop watch on my phone. I think my pace is faster then I think it is. :) 3 weeks out until my raaaace! Yikes. |
| | 4.09 miles on the river trail with Julie. 8:30 minute average. So after yesterdays long run, I said my prayers, read my scriptures, cleaned the house, went to a crazy walmart full of 100+ peeps in each isle- got my fathers day treats, went to work for two hours (had to make up hours for when I went swimming), went and saw Lacy to give her her birthday present, went to Cafe Rio with my husband, and went back to a crazy grocery store for Salmon for Sunday dinner. I was kind of on a ego boost for how productive I was, but then I ran with Julie who's a excellent runner who has 3 beautiful children, who is her own boss and buys and redoes homes to sell while keeping her own house immaculate ALL BY HERSELF. I got a reality check. My "productive" day. Is the "typical" day for her. She does so much. These are how ALL of my friends are actually. They are just really great people, who give and give and give. Who do and do and do some more. And they are humble too. They don't beat you over the head with their achievements. They just live, and you observe just by being around them what they are capable of. Don't get me wrong. It doesn't discredit me for everything I do and have done...but it just shows me what you can achieve if you want it bad enough and who I want to be. I don't mind working hard...in fact I like challenges. Isn't that what FRB is here? To make post new challenges, work for them then meet them? FRB is here to mingle, to challenge to become better athletes and even better people. Anyways.... Sorry to be all sentimental. It must be my Sunday sermon. Happy Fathers Day! |
| | Woke up. I felt a little sore. I always feel a little sore though when I first wake up. Its generally just the stiffness of laying in bed for several hours. Came to the gym. The first 4.0 I ran fine, 8:34 normal pace. Nothing unusual. Then I stopped and felt sharp pain on my right lower back. This panicked me. I've always had the pain on my left side. NOW THE RIGHT?! Went and got a drink rolled my back on the foam roller. That helped significantly. So much that I thought I was fine. I ran the rest of the mileage at a slower pace to be careful. Didn't feel great, but not to terrible, but once again.. when I stopped It hurt worse. I wanted to do a long run today, or at least make it to 7.0 but it doesn't look like that would be in my best interest. 30 minutes arc machine. Foam rolled again. Called the Chiropractor before I even left the gym and when I did, I left extremely upset. :( I know it's probably because of my long run going UP and then back down canyon road. *sigh* Right before my race. I hope and pray that my the doctor can pop it back in place with out much down time. I'm so disheartened right now. I know everyone gets injured, and everyone misses out on races...but I really had GOOD feelings, good vibes, and felt CONFIDENT this was the one for me. I hope it still is. | |
| | Worked on legs in the weight area. A hour and 40 minutes on the elliptical. My back feels a little better. Well see what happens. | |
| | Why do I write so much on my frb? Jeez. Someone tell me to shut up! Words only incriminate me. lol. Annnyways. Ill try to keep this short and sweet. 1 hour elliptical with Scott. He is hurt too. It was good to have someone talk to. 1 hour arc machine. 17 mins stair master. I didn't mean to go that long! Did a few weights. Hot tub. Feeling better. I hope! I hope! |
| | I ran up to the river trail. Stopped at the parking lot when Julie came running in. We ran back together. I stopped running when I got to the church and walked. This injury is hard to understand/read. It doesn't really hurt while running that much, but once I stop it increases. Walking seems harder then running. I don't know what I should do. Should I just run my race? After all it doesn't hurt WHEN I run? Should I just rest a few more days and try again? Should I just get better and run a different one? I read online that a cortisone shot is anti-flammitory and helps with a SI joint injury. Maybe I should do this? I dunno. I'm not giving up hope yet. I have another Chiropractor app tomorrow. Generally I go off what my heart tells me, but right now I'm just at a loss for what I should be doing. |
| | .50 miles warm up. 1.50 miles running. Felt pretty good until I stopped and then it felt a little iffy. I went to the sports med doc yesterday, she took xrays, made adjustments on my back, and prescribed me some meds. I think I probably just started running too soon. I did just take the meds late last night. I probably should have waited until tomorrow. I'm deciding this week if I'm running my race. After my run I went on the elliptical for a while. (didn't time it but it was for a long while.) My uncle Kirk died. I'm really choked up. When it rains.. it pours. | |
| | Lots of cardio/cross training. Almost 2 hours |
| | Made some new potential goals. |
| | New insoles for my old shoes. Getting a new pair next week. I already have them picked out. :) Vacation time starts .....now! |
| | Windy morning makes for slow paces. Oh well. I felt good around mile 3.09 and changed my plans of running 6 to 10. Probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, but here I be. Felt good up until the last mile. It was starting to get a little too bright in my eyes and the temps were rising. I feel a little sore, so ice and stretching it is! Other then that...I needed this run for a self esteem boost. It felt good to be outside enjoying the tranquility that nature brings. |
| | I'm gaining back a little speed. Not much, and I'm not going to push it or over do it, but I am thankful for any improvement I can get.
I also got new shoes they are super cute, and comfortable however I got a few blisters.. I dont get blisters. They are the same brand of shoe that I wore before just a newer version. Asics stability, my guess is I just have to break them in.. but my poor feet! Hopefully this will go away soon.
|
| | 8:43 minute pace. I think as I gain back speed, Im going to be much more careful and take a lot of slow days in between fast days. I still have blisters on my toes and they hurt, but Im almost positive its just because I need to break in my new shoes.
I got a late start to my run this morning, but I went none the less. It was so beautiful. I guess it rained last night(?) and it had that wet, moist, and fresh smell to it. :) I saw a few people walking and running and I tried to be happy and cheerful as I passed them. You know, running isn't the most important thing in life. I'd be just fine with out it.(but of course I don't want to live with out it) It's the nature and being outside and seeing all the beauty around that makes running so enjoyable. I'm so grateful today for my body and for my health, I'm thankful for my family, for good weather, for my job, and good days like these. Not the fact that its Saturday-though that does help. Just days where you're happy and content.
One week before hobble creek. I have lots of friends running this. Taper taper and I wish you good luck! |
| | So yesterday I had two really bad blisters-one of which the skin completely came off (sorry tmi) I couldn't walk let alone run. I was pretty bummed about this, because I wanted at least two outside runs this week while summer and the good weather is still here. :( So I was pretty determined to find a solution. It was on my pinky toe and right at the top so putting a bandaid did nothing. It would just fall off. I had no way to protect it or so I thought. (Mwa ha ha ha ha) then I got creative, and put super glue on it. Yep super glue. It didn't sting-and it hardened and basically acted like a layer of skin. This morning in the tub it fell off and it's already doing a lot better :) I reglued it and I think I'm in pretty good shape. I also went to big 5 yesterday and asked if they sold socks that help prevent blistering. They said they didn't but they did give me the idea to wear two thin layers of socks. One that sticks to my foot and the other that will rub. Since I had blisters I also thought that today I would wear my old Asic stability 1160 shoes vs my 2170.... BAD idea. No wonder I got injured back a month and half ago. Though I'm glad I got to go and after my run-my blisters were just fine! They had been protected ,.but my knees and back felt SO SORE (icing them now). I even walked .65 home to prevent more pounding on my joints. Needless to say... I'm glad I got new shoes and I think the two sock theory will help until my shoes are a little more broken in. I ran slow this time but I'm amazed at how much I learned in just one day. Just goes to show each time it's a little different! I mean seriously look at how long and boring this post is! Sheesh | |
| | Woke up @ 5:21 to thunder, lightning, and rain! It made me happy to hear the rain come down and hit the ground so hard. It was also incredible to watch such striking bolts flashing out into the dim morning sky while I lay in bed. I was bummed though that I couldn't run outside! Oh well... Thats coming to a end soon anyways. *sigh* Ran 7 miles. 30 minutes elliptical, 30 minutes arc machine. I came home and worked from 10:30 until 2:00 working on random projects on my house.. and Yes! I am counting that as a work out because I was sweating and panting at the end! lol Seriously though. I hate it when I get in cleaning moods because all hell breaks loose and I can't stop! I do feel productive. I got rid of a bunch of junk we had in our crawl space, and organized it. I weeded and trim the hedges/bushes. I washed the windows. I organized my husbands and I's closet. Got things more ready for fall. My long sleeve shirts, and pants are now visible. (even though we still have a little bit longer until that is needed) and my father in law is supposed to come hang up a chandelier today, but well see if that happens as it's not nearing 5 and he still hasn't come *grumbles*. I went to walmart got printer paper, candles, a biiiig huge bag of kitty food, and some cleaning supplies. James is gone, and I'm sad :( but I've been productive. I have 3 shows that I can watch while he away though and that makes me happy. Melissa and Joey season 2. lol Vampire Dairies, and I just found out you can watch pretty little liars on abc.com! Yaaaaay!!! So I should be good for a while.. As you can tell though. Its feast or famine when it comes to writing on here. ! I'll stop writing.. I promise.. ! The end. |
| | Short day Weights. 10 minute walk. 3.25 mile run. 15 minutes elliptical. | |
| | 7.0 miles half of that I was at a decent speed for me. It wasn't even terrible. :) 30 minutes Elliptical with Lily and Lacy! Good times ! | |
| | My knee was feeling the slightest bit of annoyance, and I wasn't planning to run today, but I iced, and stretched, rolled and this morning I ran a slow pace and it didn't give me much if any grief. :) I really am thankful that I can listen to my body, and that I haven't had much injury since the summer. If I need to take a break the next few days and elliptical instead I will. It might be good to change it up anyways. Well just play it by ear.
I had a wake up call the last few days... and with out going into too much detail. Ill just end with, I'm really grateful for the good things in my life and since November is the season to give thanks.. I'm going to try and focus a lot on that these next few months.

| | 0 miles! 1 hour on the arc trainer, and 30 minutes on the elliptical or as Lily puts it, Elliptical HELL! Today we move into a new building for work. 15 minutes further. Which means it puts me the grand total of a half hour drive. Which means I'll be getting ready at the gym. As promised though I said I would try to focus on the positive and you know what? Even though it is a little bit of the drive.. The free way should be completed in December, and I'm sooo grateful for my employment, PLUS bigger desks and window seat, so not to shabby right? :) | |
| | I gotta give my self credit. This was the hardest work out ever! Last Sunday I got the flu and it's been kicking my freakin butt! 6 miles on the TM and 30 minutes elliptical. I figured sweating out all the toxins was the best way to expedite getting rid of this beast. | |
| | Lots of weights! Today was a weight day. Short mileage. 3.25 slow miles. 20 minutes walking. It's intentional. Love me some easy days. Tomorrow Ill be pushing harder! | |
| | Weights. Yay for short days! |
| | I got some good mileage and I even did some speed work outs. I haven't pushed speed at all this fall/winter. In fact I'm rather slow...but meh. Beats getting hurt! Anyways... Most of yall are waaaaaay out of my league but I DID get down to 7:47 minute mile and held for a good portion of time. It was a good work out for me, considering all the calories to be consumed. :) Happy Thanksgiving. |
| | Today was rough. The speed yesterday made today HARD, but I did it! That's all that matters. (to me anyways) |
| | Easier today :) . My goal mileage for the week is 30. So I'm proud I was able to get closer. I generally don't hit it. My will to work out is not always greater then my devotion to sleeping in. Either way, I'd call this week a success. | |
| | Weight day. Short mileage, did a little speed at the end. Now time for my bagel with laughing cow strawberry cream cheese! Soooo yummy! | |
| |
1 mile warm up. 3.50 normal miles. 3.0 faster miles. 24 minute even 5K which is decent for me.
I dreamt the world was ending last night, and we had to evacuate and the whole time I was upset that I couldn't go to the gym. This struck me as odd since I'm not a hard core every day goer. lol! Oh well! I made it!

| | Weights, strength trained mostly my legs and stomach. 10 minute warm up jog. 15 minutes total running at a 7:30 minute mile. 45 minutes total running at a 8:34 minute mile. 18 minutes elliptical. Stretches and I was out, but I didn't want to leave. BRRR, sooooo cold outside! |
| |
10 minute warm up walk 5.15 slow miles on the TM. 25 minutes arc machine. Stretches. Saw Julie, Elise, Ginnie, Joanne, Lacy, and Monica at the gym. Fun to visit and catch up! I got a cute new pink gym bag and head warmer today from a friend. Totally what I needed. We are having a Mexican dinner tonight. Should be fun.
Oh and fyi anyone coming to the the SF gym on Wednesday, it doesn't open until 7:00. Merry CHRISTMAS Runners!

Went to the gym at 4 in the afternoon-Now that's a change! walked 10 minutes 2.50 mile run on the TM, did some weights, and stretched. It's not much, but better then nothin! James wanted to go, and I figured I had a lot of repenting to do.
|
| | 10 minute walk. 6.40 slow miles. 20 minutes elliptical. Stretches. |
| | Too much sugar consumption, staying up late, and waking up early. 10 minute walk. 3.59 miles and I called it quits.Stretched. I just didn't have it today. Ill sleep tonight and take some caffeine tomorrow and try again. 45 minutes arc machine. Blah | |
