Ran from the gym to the river trail back to the gym with Rachelle and Merri. Good times! Thanks ladies! Drove to my house. Parked and did a guestimate mile loop around the high school back to my house. I only did this because I'm sure Ill devour waaaay to many cupcakes. So any extra will be for the poudage Ill put on. ;) jk! 8:30-8:45 minute pace average I think? Happy Birthday to me! 24 years old! Time flies! Feels like just yesterday I was in HS. Going to City creek mall, Snow white and the huntsman movie, and Red Iguana for dinner. YUM!

Oh ps. KC gets out of the hospital today. What better gift could I get? Hell go back for surgery later, but I'm glad he's doing better!!!!

Weights. 5.64 miles on the TM. My 5 K distance was in 25:25 which was pretty good for me, and I bet if I really wanted I could shave off a minute or more. Since wasn't even that hard. I didn't really feel like running much after. It could have been I used my energy right at the start. *shrug* One month exactly until my race!!

Weights. 5.0 miles on the tm. Easy running/ slow miles. Julie asked if I wanted to run uv half for her. I'm debating it!

I opted out on the UV half and while it would have been good training run.. Im glad I was able to spend time with my husband last night and stay up a little later, and get the extra sleep. I will say this though. I was determined to run by myself for a little longer run since I haven't done much of that so I woke up at 5:30 this morning. I got dressed and out the door at 5:45 because I'm slow in the morning. Even though I'm a early bird, it still takes me a while to process and put my thoughts into action.  lol anyways moving back on topic. I ran from my house to the church that Jason and Jessica like to start from (by the barbie homes) down to river trail, back onto the main street, ran up the canyon road-which might I add was a beyatch. Crossed over to the light house,  and then down a nice gradual hill to the gym. It was a pretty nice solo run. I don't know how fast I was going, but it didn't feel slow like sometimes I feel like. Then 40 minutes elliptical. The gym was miserable and hot. Lily and I decided we were over it, so we asked Julie to join us, ran from the gym back up to the light house, this time flying down canyon road. This was much easier going down then coming up! Lily ditched us during that part and it looked like she was going as fast as the cars driving by. We ran across main street up to carls jr back up to the gym. It was a pretty hard run. Especially those last 3 miles. But I didn't really take any gels/caffiene/gus-Nothin! and I did go up three hills, one of which was huuge. So I'll give myself credit for that. My mileage is just a guesstimate again, but I've ran enough times with everyone, that I think I'm pretty close.. In other news.. My aunt Marci ran UV half and came in at 1:37!! Yaaay. Congrats for all those who ran it. Sorry for the long wordy post.

Julies house down to the river trail and back 4.11 miles at 8:40 average pace. This course seems so much easier. I think it  its because its so beautiful, very little hills and short. I understand why SO many runners come there to run and train. This run felt so much easier then yesterdays. It must have been the hills yesterday. I hate hills gosh dang it! Buuuuut, they are good for me and help with speed.. So Ill throw some in every week. It was fun to talk to Julie. She is a good friend. <3

Guestimate mileage 10-12 miles. I really think it's 12..but maybe it just feels that long because I was running solo. From my house, to the river trail, up canyon road down to the gym. 20 minutes arch machine (This was dumb. I should have conserved my energy for the next 5-6 miles Doh!)  Then ran from the gym up to the canyon road, down to the river trail, and back to my house. The last mile was killer. Bah. The good news is I don't have a garmin but this time I got smart and used my stop watch on my phone. I think my pace is faster then I think it is. :) 3 weeks out until my raaaace! Yikes.

4.09 miles on the river trail with Julie. 8:30 minute average. So after yesterdays long run, I said my prayers, read my scriptures, cleaned the house, went to a crazy walmart full of 100+ peeps in each isle- got my fathers day treats, went to work for two hours (had to make up hours for when I went swimming), went and saw Lacy to give her her birthday present, went to Cafe Rio with my husband, and went back to a crazy grocery store for Salmon for Sunday dinner. I was kind of on a ego boost for how productive I was, but then I ran with Julie who's a excellent runner who has 3 beautiful children, who is her own boss and buys and redoes homes to sell while keeping her own house immaculate ALL BY HERSELF. I got a reality check. My "productive" day. Is the "typical" day for her.  She does so much. These are how ALL of my friends are actually. They are just really great people, who give and give and give. Who do and do and do some more. And they are humble too. They don't beat you over the head with their achievements. They just live, and you observe just by being around them what they are capable of.  Don't get me wrong. It doesn't discredit me for everything I do and have done...but it just shows me what you can achieve if you want it bad enough and who I want to be. I don't mind working hard...in fact I like challenges. Isn't that what FRB is here? To make post new challenges, work for them then meet them? FRB is here to mingle, to challenge to become better athletes and even better people. Anyways.... Sorry to be all sentimental. It must be my Sunday sermon. Happy Fathers Day!

Woke up. I felt a little sore. I always feel a little sore though when I first wake up. Its generally just the stiffness of laying in bed for several hours. Came to the gym. The first 4.0 I ran fine, 8:34 normal pace. Nothing unusual. Then I stopped and felt sharp pain on my right lower back. This panicked me. I've always had the pain on my left side. NOW THE RIGHT?! Went and got a drink rolled my back on the foam roller. That helped significantly. So much that I thought I was fine. I ran the rest of the mileage at a slower pace to be careful. Didn't feel great, but not to terrible, but once again.. when I stopped It hurt worse. I wanted to do a long run today, or at least make it to 7.0 but it doesn't look like that would be in my best interest. 30 minutes arc machine. Foam rolled again. Called the Chiropractor before I even left the gym and when I did, I left extremely upset. :( I know it's probably because of my long run going UP and then back down canyon road. *sigh* Right before my race. I hope and pray that my the doctor can pop it back in place with out much down time.  I'm so disheartened right now. I know everyone gets injured, and everyone misses out on races...but I really had GOOD feelings, good vibes, and felt CONFIDENT this was the one for me. I hope it still is.

It was good to have someone talk to. 1 hour arc machine. 17 mins stair master. I didn't mean to go that long! Did a few weights. Hot tub. Feeling better. I hope! I hope!

I ran up to the river trail. Stopped at the parking lot when Julie came running in. We ran back together. I stopped running when I got to the church and walked. This injury is hard to understand/read. It doesn't really hurt while running that much, but once I stop it increases. Walking seems harder then running. I don't know what I should do. Should I just run my race? After all it doesn't hurt WHEN I run? Should I just rest a few more days and try again? Should I just get better and run a different one? I read online that a cortisone shot is anti-flammitory and helps with a SI joint injury. Maybe I should do this? I dunno. I'm not giving up hope yet. I have another Chiropractor app tomorrow.  Generally I go off what my heart tells me, but right now I'm just at a loss for what I should be doing.

.50 miles warm up. 1.50 miles running. Felt pretty good until I stopped and then it felt a little iffy.  I went to the sports med doc yesterday, she took xrays, made adjustments on my back, and prescribed me some meds. I think I probably just started running too soon. I did just take the meds late last night. I probably should have waited until tomorrow. I'm deciding this week if I'm running my race. After my run I went on the elliptical for a while. (didn't time it but it was for a long while.) My uncle Kirk died. I'm really choked up. When it rains.. it pours.
